Lions Club
The Tewantin – Noosa Lions Club was chartered by Lions Club of Gympie on 4th April 1967. Founding President was Edward Sommerville.
Since then, the Club has grown enormously and now has now close to 50 Members.
We have also chartered three clubs since then – Noosa Heads Lions Club, Cooroy Pomona Lions Club and Peregian Lions Club.
Our club is in the Noosa shire situated in an ideal location in Noosa, serving the community for over 55 years.
We pride ourselves on having fun while serving the community and some of the activities we are involved in are many & varied, including social events…

Tewantin - Noosa Lions Club At Your Service
The motto of Lions international is “We Serve “our club’s motto is “We Serve and have a lot of fun”.
Whilst being busy with and serving our community we do have a busy social agenda with dinner meetings twice a month, drinks in the park on the fifth Tuesday of most months, outings, nights at the Noosa Arts Theatre and much, much more.

Tewantin Noosa Lions are part of an international organisation that is made up of 1.4 million members in 49,000 clubs who bring hands and hearts to the communities we serve in nearly every country on earth. Our Lions and Leos help hundreds of millions of people every year.
In Australia we have served the community for 75 years, we’ve served with uncommon kindness, putting the needs of our neighbours, our communities and our world first. Since the first Lions club was formed in Lismore, NSW in September 1947, we have grown to be Australia’s largest service club organisation.
We look back at our storied past with pride, but we know it’s only the beginning. Every day, we’re building on our legacy with the goal of making an even greater impact in the future.
Tewantin Noosa Lions Club is an integral part of the Noosa community always willing to help in any way we can.
Although we do cook sausages we also have a varied service agenda throughout the year combined with our underlining motivation of having fun.
